Job Description
The Assistant Manager for Capacity Management will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the capacity of semiconductor suppliers to meet the companys production needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and optimize semiconductor supply capacity.
- Analyze capacity data and forecasts to ensure alignment with production schedules and demand plans.
- Collaborate with suppliers to understand their capacity constraints and develop plans to address potential bottlenecks.
- Monitor and report on supplier capacity performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to anticipate and address capacity-related issues.
- Conduct regular capacity reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and production requirements.
- Support negotiations with suppliers by providing capacity-related insights and data.
- Develop and maintain capacity planning tools, dashboards, and reports.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions that could impact capacity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capacity management processes and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in capacity management, supply chain management, or procurement, preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of the semiconductor market, including supply chain dynamics, pricing trends, and key suppliers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
