Job Title: Medical Manager Cardio-Metabolic-Endocrine IndiaJob location : Mumbai STRATEGY:Act as Local Medical Affairs TA expert in one or more TAs through in-field and office-based activitiesSupport the Local TA leadership team in the development of TA, Launch and Brand strategies and lead the Medical Affairs TacticsLead Medical Affairs activities in assigned territory along defined local Medical Launch / Brand strategiesConsolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the fieldOPERATIONS:Develop Medical material, review marketing material, trainingsEnsure scientific and clinical accuracy for specific product or brandComply with relevant training and SOPsMaintains up-to-date GxP knowledge by following internal and external trainings Conduct Local internal scientific training and ensure continuous Medical education of existing teams and new employees working in the Local TA Develops and implements territory Medical plans with assigned HCPsImpact external trust in companys science and company products through fair and balanced Medical communicationMaintain and demonstrate comprehensive and in-depth scientific TA knowledge when executing assigned tacticsEnsure operational excellence by sharing best practicesMap treatment landscape and medical environment for new indications/ programs in the Therapeutic AreaProvide support in the planning and tracking of the (TA-specific) medical budgetDATA GENERATION AND SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION:Lead/ support (depending on nature of study) Medical studies, assist to coordinate Local clinical projects and contribute to site selection for clinical projects Lead Local publication process, publication dissemination and alignment with Local, Regional and Global publication planDelivers accurate and timely scientific information to assigned HCPs within territory to ensure the safe and appropriate use of Company products by patientsAct as a resource and liaison for ISS and investigators that are aligned to the Medical Affairs strategy, both in-field and through office-based activitiesCoordinate with ClinDev and ClinOps in providing field support for research studies and assist in the selection of clinical study sitesAssimilate, process and share medical information with stakeholdersSTAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Provide training to HCPs and support in realizing educational programs and events delivered by MedicalInteract with Local stakeholders in Medical community in TA, with given frequency and pre-defined metrics, as applicable in accordance with local regulations.Identifies and interacts with key members of the Medical community (external experts including Healthcare Professionals (HCPs/"thought leaders") and possibly other healthcare stakeholders such as (access decision makers, government organizations and patient groups within assigned territory and TA , with given frequency and pre-defined metrics, in accordance with local regulationsRepresent company at Medical education programs, events, meetings and support patient advocacy related activities, as appropriateFacilitate partnership for the company with external stakeholders on innovative research and healthcare solutionsEngage with internal colleagues (Medical Affairs department, Clinical Operations, Commercial colleagues as appropriate, etc.) in developing and delivering and participating in Medical or cross-functional initiativesSTRATEGIC IMPACTRoles providing expertise on scientific topics regarding relevant disease areas and Company assets to ensure their safe and appropriate use by patients. Acts as a field-based expert, building relationships with External Experts as trusted scientific partners. Exchanges credible scientific information to ensure the optimal use of Company assets and to improve patient care. Gathers and provides insights back to the Company to inform strategy and activities. IMPACT: Impacts the results of own team or even influences a range of customer, operational, project or service activities of closely related teams with own contributions. Explains complex or even difficult/sensitive information to others in straightforward situations and interacts across business areas. May even advance discussions and build consensus across the business and with external parties regarding own technical area.COMPLEXITY: Performs a range of routine or even non-routine assignments to solve problems of low to moderate complexity that require working knowledge and experience in own job discipline. Analyzes factual information and possible solutions to make independent judgement, recommendations and decisions. May also use best practices to improve products or services.ACCOUNTABILITY/ INDEPENDENCE: Accountable for the quality of own work. Works independently and receives a moderate to low level of guidance and direction within clear or even broad guidelines.EXPERIENCE: Requires a graduate background plus some to substantial relevant professional experience, and good knowledge and experience in own discipline and beyond.Job RequirementsMedical Graduate with a degree recognized by MCI (M. D. in Pharmacology or Equivalent)Clinical or clinical research experience specific to therapeutic area preferred, advanced degree advantageousSubstantial professional, clinical or research experience in a scientific or related field required (minimum of 2 years)Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical experience preferredPrior industry experience is advantageousKnowledge of regulatory environmentKnowledge and experience of methodology of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice preferredKnowledge and experience in project management
