Public Relations Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals.
• Create press releases, media kits, and other materials to distribute to media outlets.
• Pitch stories and arrange interviews to generate positive media coverage.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze results to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
• Develop engaging content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of PR materials.
• Plan and coordinate events such as product launches, press conferences, and media briefings.
• Manage logistics, including venue selection, invitations, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
• Oversee onsite execution and ensure events align with brand objectives.
• Develop strategies to handle potential crises and mitigate negative publicity.
• Act as a spokesperson for the company during crisis situations.
• Provide media training to key stakeholders to effectively manage interviews and press inquiries.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven experience in public relations, preferably in the home decor, fashion, lifestyle or related industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop impactful PR initiatives.
• Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.

Preferred candidate profile

Under Graduation/Diploma in Public Relations/Communications/Media.
