Lead - Mechanical Engineer Piping & Instrumentation (P&ID)

Role & responsibilities:

• Experience in reputed design consultancy firm or engineering division of reputed EPC firm.
• Handling team of Engineers & Draughtsman.
• Quality check of drawings.
• Interaction with client for approval and during the course of project.
• Ability to handle project single handedly.
• Lead a team of designers & engineers specializing in Plant 3D or P&ID Revalidation Team.
• Provide technical guidance & mentorship to team members on the use of Plant 3D or P&ID Revalidation tools & best practice.
• Oversee the development of detailed mechanical designs for industrial plants, equipments & systems.
• Acquire & understand the project goals from the client, specific documentations and kick off meetings.
• Lead the team in creating the complex smart P&ID, P&ID Revalidation, 3D Modeling, Piping layouts, equipment arrangements and isometric drawings.
• Set up the procedure for control of discipline activities.
• Contribute to define discipline list of activities,list of deliverables & time schedule accordance with client requirements.
• Quality checking of designes & drawings before submission to client.
• Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of the project quality requirement
• Provide technical support to the team
• Escalate serious risk to senior management & always have backup plan.
• Support the employee performance evaluation, establish performance criteria, identify employee strength & weaknesses & recommend training & development requirements.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Required educational background- Diploma or B.E Mechanical
• Experience- 8+ years in piping engineering with skills of smart P&IDs, P&ID Revalidation & piping, Auto CAD, PDMS / SP3D / E3D, Plant 3D ( Point cloud knowledge is added advantage)
• Experience in project design, engineering pertaining to Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Chemical / process / other industry with proven energy & initiative in overcoming obstacles and ability to handle multiple task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• Ability to respond positively & to take responsibilities for achieving results.
