- Employee will be employed as a Design engineer in IMS Design engineering. Employee shall work on mechanical HVAC design of integrated modular solution and report to and guide the Lead Engineer on project to a valid HVAC technical solution. He prepares documentation like single line diagrams, cooling load calculations, he models mechanical equipment in Revit and does basic calculations. Thermal engineer needs to have knowledge about relevant European standards and basic knowledge about International and other standards related to overall HVAC design.
- Employee shall be situated in Design engineering department located in Zagreb, Croatia. Employee will be situated in HVAC team, led by Thermal Engineering Manager. Employee will be responsible for the mechanical HVAC design on dedicated project (small/medium scale) and will coordinate mechanical HVAC installations with other disciplines. Employee will get to know more regarding high precision cooling units (Liebert) and how to incorporate them into the dedicated project.
- Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of mechanical project documentation heat load, ventilation, layouts, detail drawings, descriptions, schedules, instructions, material submittals, presentations, and marketing materials etc.
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project tasks
- Participating in kick-off meeting, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
- Reporting project status to Project Lead Engineer
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
- Initiating RFI ( Request for Information ) in cases where additional clarification is needed
- Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
- Verification and approval of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
- Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Participation on internal testing and FAT
Authorities
- Review and approval of outsourced mechanical design documentation with support of lead thermal engineer
- Approve or reject technically received supplier offer with support of lead thermal engineer
- Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation with support of lead thermal engineer
- Education - Master of Mechanical Engineering (preferred in thermodynamics)
- English language - fluent
