Engineer/ Sr. Engineer in Mechanical design

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer/Sr. Engineer in Mechanical Design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 7 years of experience in design and new product development, with a strong background in machine design, including special purpose machines, packaging machines, pharmaceutical equipment, and more. You will be responsible for designing and modeling machines, preparing assembly and manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and ISO standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience:
• 2 to 7 years of experience in Design and New Product Development.
• Experience with designing machines such as special purpose machines, packaging machines, pharmaceutical equipment, and jigs & fixtures.
• Hands-on experience with PTC CREO and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Understanding & Design:
• Understand project requirements and release accurate design data on time.
• Design and model machines using PTC CREO & AutoCAD.
• Manufacturing & Assembly Drawings:
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Material and Component Selection:
• Basic knowledge of selecting materials, bearings, belts, pulleys, pneumatics, and circuit drawings.
• Mechanism & Component Design:
• Design and model mechanisms, gears, cams, springs, and other machine components.
• Component Integration:
• Basic knowledge of sensors, motors, and related components integration into designs.

• Knowledge of Design Standards:
• Sound understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Knowledge of cGMP standards, ISO, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Design Tools:
• Proficient in PTC CREO & AutoCAD.
• Design Detail & BOM Generation:
• Detail design of sub-assemblies, creation of drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials) generation.
• Release designs in ERP systems by following defined SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Quality & Timeliness:
• Ensure timely and error-free design release, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work effectively within the department and with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes:
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, machining techniques, and quality analysis tools such as FMEA and risk analysis.
