Job Description

Lead multiple medium or high complexity Packaging Cost reduction projects. Packaging engineer who has work experience with designing Wooden crates, Corrugate boxes and Foam.

Requires strong competency in handling Packaging related cost reduction projects.

Strong knowledge in Mechanical Engineering Principles, ISTA standards.

Should have very good understanding of Automation and latest technology used in Packaging industry.

Good understanding and application of design methodologies for product development (materials, theoretical calculations, engineering analysis, proto typing & testing etc.)

Deeper understanding and expertise in overall manufacturing processes and has experience to proactively identify constraints and improvement opportunities.

Proficiency with Mechanical CAD tools with regards to design, assembly and drawings.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge on Value Engineering methodologies and how to apply them.

Experienced on using Should Costing tools.

Good understanding in applying DFx (manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, reliability, safety, cost) knowledge for mechanical / packaging designs.

Strong analytical skills and Excellent communication skills.

Strong Project management skills required.

Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
