Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. To carry out shift management and Maintenance to Boilers, utility & wwtp equipment, keeping equipment running with safety at optimum efficiency with minimum costs. Undertake maintenance that minimizes downtime & follow up to prevent reoccurrence. Boiler Engineer play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial boilers and utility equipment. His primary responsibility is to install, maintain, repair, and inspect boilers, other utility related equipment (i.e. Refrigeration plant, air compressor etc.), ensuring that they meet regulatory standards and function optimally. Utilizing technical expertise and troubleshooting skills will contribute to the smooth operation of boiler systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring the continuous supply of steam. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

• Ensuring utility equipment compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Supervise team and ensure they conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, WTP area equipment and others utility equipment to identify and address potential issues.
• Diagnose and coordinate with maintenance team to repair malfunctions or breakdowns in Boiler, WTP & utility area.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed on all utility equipment (i.e. boilers, Refrigeration plant, air compressor, WTP equipments etc.) in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in boiler technology to recommend improvements or upgrades to existing systems.
• Foster a culture of safety by following all relevant safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting safe work practices.
• Lead utility operation team ensuring minimum overtime.
• Ensure compliance safety, food safety and environmental standards during work execution.
• Develop and manage skills & capability of team members.
• Manage & supervise contracted resources.
• Assures quality of work done
• Addressing shift concerns with the manager.
• Complete jobs in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency.
• Investigate all equipment failure root cause and archive.
• Maintain inventories for all critical spares / Prepare bill of materials of ownership area equipment.
• Assign and reassign work as per emergencies and plant priorities during the shift.
• Promote communication as well as good relations between the production and the maintenance departments.
• Investigate, provide, and implement corrective actions for near misses and safety incidents.
• Prepare daily shift performance report and circulate to management.
• Managing 5s at workplace.
• Key person of shift emergency response team.
• Assist external vendors during service.
• Perform any other reasonable work-related tasks as instructed by Manager.
• Should have sound knowledge in Inspecting and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Adherence to budget.

Requirements:

Academic:

• Must have: BE Mechanical OR Electrical education with 5 -8 years of Experience
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing boiler operations.
