Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Data Product Manager to join our dynamic team, responsible for driving the strategy and development of data products within our AWS cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in big data technologies, cloud-based data platforms, and analytics, as well as the ability to translate business needs into impactful data-driven solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to develop data products that enhance decision-making and support business objectives.

You will own the roadmap for data product development, ensuring that these products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities :

- Define the vision and strategy for data products that leverage AWS cloud platforms (e., Data Lakes, BI, Analytics) to solve business challenges.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align the product roadmap with organizational goals.

- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from conceptualization and planning through execution and delivery.

- Prioritize features and improvements based on business value and user needs, balancing technical constraints and business objectives.

- Work closely with data engineers to ensure the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.

- Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable the development of tools and platforms that support advanced analytics and reporting.

- Focus on ensuring that data products and platforms are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Make data products more efficient by leveraging tools such as Spark, Kafka, and other distributed computing platforms.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the development of data products.

- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders, ensuring that products are continuously enhanced to meet evolving business needs.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to monitor product performance and ensure quality delivery.

- Stay up to date with emerging tools, technologies, and frameworks in big data and cloud solutions, evaluating their potential to improve or add new capabilities to the data product suite.

- Oversee the cost, performance, and timely delivery of data products, ensuring that all technology solutions meet performance and budget expectations.

- Ensure that data governance standards are followed, focusing on data privacy, lineage, and observability, while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field. A master's degree is preferred.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, Redshift, RDS (Postgres), Athena, Kinesis, and others to build data-driven solutions.

- Expertise in designing and implementing data models, including knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.

- Familiarity with modern file and table formats and best practices in data modeling.

- Strong experience with data replication tools such as Qlik Replicate and AWS DMS to manage data flows from multiple sources into cloud environments.

- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, PySpark, SQL/PLSQL for building and managing data pipelines and ETL processes.

- Knowledge of building data strategies for cloud-based solutions like Data Lakes, BI platforms, and analytics solutions using AWS or hybrid cloud environments.

- Experience in Agile methodologies, managing backlogs, conducting sprint planning, and ensuring iterative product delivery while engaging with business stakeholders.

- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining logging, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to ensure data products and solutions are performing as expected.

- Familiarity with data governance practices, automated data lineage, and metadata management.

Experience :

8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields with a strong focus on cloud solutions (preferably AWS), big data technologies, and product management.
