IT Head - Engineering

Key Responsibili􀆟es:

1. Product Development Leadership:

• Oversee ongoing product development for core systems such as Loan Origina􀆟on,

Loan Management, Collec􀆟ons, Financial Accoun􀆟ng, and HRMS.

• Lead teams working on diverse technologies, including .NET, Java, Mobile App

Development, ensuring products meet business requirements and 􀆟melines.

• Ensure robust product architecture and seamless integra􀆟on of various modules to

deliver a unified solu􀆟on for lending opera􀆟ons.

2. Technology and Pla􀆞orm Strategy:

• Define and execute technology strategies with a focus on the India Stack digital

ecosystem, ensuring that the company adopts tools and frameworks that align with

modern digital payments, Aadhaar-based services, and UPI.

• Implement and manage cloud-based solu􀆟ons to support scalable and secure

applica􀆟ons (preferably with exper􀆟se in AWS or Azure).

• Ensure best prac􀆟ces in applica􀆟on security, especially for lending products

handling sensi􀆟ve financial data and transac􀆟ons.

3. Lending Domain Exper􀆟se:

• Leverage deep exper􀆟se in lending domains such as loan origina􀆟on, loan

management, collec􀆟ons, financial accoun􀆟ng, and HRMS to ensure products and

systems are aligned with NBFCs opera􀆟onal needs.

• Design systems that are fully compliant with RBI guidelines and other regulatory

requirements related to lending, digital payments, and data privacy.

4. Project Implementa􀆟on & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead the execu􀆟on of ongoing implementa􀆟ons across mul􀆟ple business units,

ensuring smooth delivery of solu􀆟ons and minimal disrup􀆟on to daily opera􀆟ons.

• Work closely with product, opera􀆟ons, finance, and HR teams to ensure that

engineering ini􀆟a􀆟ves are aligned with business goals.

• Manage rela􀆟onships with third-party vendors for system integra􀆟ons, digital

payments, and regulatory compliance solu􀆟ons.

5. Digital Transforma􀆟on & Automa􀆟on:

• Drive the digital transforma􀆟on agenda across the NBFC, integra􀆟ng Robo􀆟c Process

Automa􀆟on (RPA), AI/ML, and data analy􀆟cs to improve loan processing,

underwri􀆟ng, and decision-making capabili􀆟es.

• Implement data analy􀆟cs solu􀆟ons to derive business insights, op􀆟mize lending

opera􀆟ons, improve customer experience, and manage risk.

6. Cloud & Applica􀆟on Security:

• Ensure all systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards,

u􀆟lizing cloud compu􀆟ng pla􀆞orms (AWS, Azure) and robust applica􀆟on security

protocols.

• Regularly evaluate and update security protocols to address emerging threats in the

digital lending landscape.

7. India Stack & Digital Payments Integra􀆟on:

• Lead the integra􀆟on of the India Stack ecosystem, including Aadhaar, UPI, e-KYC,

and digital signature capabili􀆟es into the NBFCs core pla􀆞orms.

• Ensure seamless integra􀆟on with digital payment gateways and external partners,

enhancing customer experience in loan disbursements, collec􀆟ons, and repayments.

8. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

• Ensure all engineering projects and implementa􀆟ons comply with RBI regula􀆟ons,

including but not limited to digital lending guidelines, KYC norms, data privacy, and

an􀆟-money laundering requirements.

• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure regular audits, reviews, and

updates to so􀅌ware systems for regulatory compliance.

9. Third-Party Implementa􀆟ons & Ecosystem Building:

• Oversee the implementa􀆟on of third-party integra􀆟ons, including CRM systems,

payment gateways, credit scoring solu􀆟ons, and regulatory tech pla􀆞orms.

• Build strategic partnerships with fintech companies, technology vendors, and thirdparty

service providers to expand the company's technical capabili􀆟es.

10. Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead a mul􀆟disciplinary engineering team, including developers, architects, DevOps,

and QA specialists, ensuring con􀆟nuous learning and performance op􀆟miza􀆟on.

• Foster a culture of innova􀆟on, accountability, and collabora􀆟on within the

engineering team.

11. Innova􀆟on & Con􀆟nuous Improvement:

• Drive innova􀆟on through emerging technologies such as AI/ML for underwri􀆟ng,

credit scoring, and risk assessment, and RPA for opera􀆟onal efficiencies.

• Iden􀆟fy opportuni􀆟es for process automa􀆟on, reducing manual interven􀆟ons, and

improving overall opera􀆟onal efficiency.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of India Stack, digital payments, applica􀆟on security, cloud

pla􀆞orms (AWS/Azure).

• Knowledge of RPA, AI/ML, data analy􀆟cs, and RBI regulatory compliance for the

financial industry.

• Strong experience in managing third-party integra􀆟ons and vendor rela􀆟onships.
• Excellent leadership, communica􀆟on, and stakeholder management skills.
