Position Overview:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance workforce capabilities and align with organizational objectives. This role focuses on the development of structured learning initiatives in sales, product knowledge, technical engineering, and professional skills, ensuring a skilled and high-performing workforce. The L&D Manager will oversee training needs assessments, instructional design, facilitation, and the implementation of evaluation mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development & Delivery:
- Design and execute comprehensive training programs focused on sales effectiveness, technical product knowledge, and soft skills development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training content that aligns with business needs and industry best practices.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions using a combination of instructor-led, e-learning, and blended learning methodologies.
Sales Training & Enablement:
- Develop and facilitate targeted sales training programs to enhance product positioning, consultative selling, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Ensure sales teams have in-depth knowledge of product specifications, competitive differentiation, and market trends.
- Assess training impact through performance metrics and continuous feedback loops.
Product & Technical Training:
- Lead technical training initiatives focused on product engineering, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Work closely with product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure training content reflects the latest technical advancements and quality standards.
- Equip employees with the necessary skills to address customer inquiries and technical challenges effectively.
Soft Skills & Professional Development:
- Implement training programs in communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service excellence.
- Develop digital proficiency, compliance, and workplace safety training modules as part of a holistic learning strategy.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through coaching, mentorship, and career development initiatives.
Training Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure training effectiveness and learning outcomes.
- Implement post-training assessment tools, feedback surveys, and follow-up mechanisms to ensure knowledge retention and application.
- Analyze data from training programs to identify gaps, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Continuously refine training strategies to optimize employee engagement and performance impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a manufacturing, technical, or sales-driven environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering sales and technical training programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and digital learning platforms.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in training evaluation, learning analytics, and performance measurement.
