Powertrain Planning and Strategy:
Develop and manage the Powertrain portfolio roadmap for various vehicle segments, ensuring alignment with company strategy, market demand, and customer expectations.
Identify gaps in the current lineup and propose new opportunities considering 2-pedal technologies, electrification/hybridization, Turbo etc.
Ability to include Emissions, CAF and Carbon neutral approach in future powertrains while catering to various customer segments, from entry-level to premium, and address market gaps.
Continuously monitor and adjust the portfolio based on competitive analysis, market trends, and technological advancements.
Analyze data from external sources like IHS, JATO Dynamics, NCBS or industry reports to forecast trends in demand, customer preferences, and market conditions.
Analyze competitors products, strategies, and market performance to guide future product developments and improve competitiveness.
Develop accurate demand forecasts in collaboration with sales teams to ensure product availability aligns with market needs.
Ability to integrate future automotive trends, including electrification (xEVs) in powertrain strategy.
BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF
Understanding of Macro-economic factors and Impact on Passenger Car market.
Model development process / Timelines.
Proficiency in using Project management tools and methodologies.
Ability to evaluate product features in terms of cost, performance and customer value.
Expertise in MS office [PowerPoint, Word, Excel] Tools
Business portfolio & financial analysis of OEMs
