Job Description
- Designing & development of automotive transmission clutch and release system
- Vehicle layout of clutch, clutch cables & pipes, and other clutch release system components (both manual and hydraulic)
- Clutch part level evaluation
- Vehicle level clutch performance and NVH tuning
- Analysis of market problem/ failure related to clutch & clutch release system including detrimental effects on vehicle performance.
- Proficient in CAD and Drafting - preferably Uni-graphics
- Proficient in designer CAE
- Knowledge of Project management system / Engg. BOM system
- Knowledge of Clutch & Release system specification design based on vehicle requirements
- Knowledge of clutch NVH filtration & interpretation of NVH data
- Knowledge of clutch parameters affecting vehicle level performance
- Working knowledge of other damping solutions like Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF), Hybrid dampers.
- Working knowledge of Wet clutches for Hybrid applications
- Thorough understanding of DFMEA/Root cause analysis and other designing/analysis tools.
- Thorough understanding of manual transmission sub-systemsgearbox, gear shift mechanism, synchromesh system, clutch cable, gear shift lever assembly for holistic Clutch & release system spec design
- Working knowledge of Engine system to understand requirements for Clutch spec design
