Survey Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Survey Planning & Execution
  
• Conduct land and topographic surveys using DGPS, drones, total stations, and GIS software.
• Plan and establish survey control points to ensure high accuracy.
• Analyze site conditions and prepare survey reports.
• Equipment Handling & Data Collection
  
• Operate DGPS, total stations, and drones for data acquisition.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Collect and process geospatial data for mapping and analysis.
• Data Processing & GIS Application
  
• Convert raw survey data into usable GIS formats.
• Analyze survey data using GIS tools for spatial mapping and planning.
• Generate digital maps, elevation models, and geospatial reports.
• Communication & Coordination
  
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to align survey outputs with project requirements.
• Communicate survey findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to junior surveyors and field teams.
• Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
  
• Ensure surveys comply with local and international surveying standards.
• Maintain proper documentation of surveys, including CAD drawings and GIS files.
• Assist in land acquisition and legal boundary verification.
• Leadership & Team Management
  
• Train and supervise junior surveyors and field staff.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during field operations.
• Optimize survey processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education & Skills

✅ Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geoinformatics, Geospatial Technology, or a related field.
✅ Strong understanding of DGPS, drones, total station, GIS, and remote sensing.
✅ Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, and survey processing software.
✅ Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in land surveying or geospatial data collection.
• Hands-on experience in operating survey instruments and drones.
• Knowledge of survey regulations and land acquisition laws.
