Quality Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects in a systematic manner using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure proper testing coverage.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and suggest process improvements to enhance product quality.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and processes throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Participate in review meetings and provide feedback on product readiness and risk assessments.
• Generate detailed reports on testing results, quality metrics, and defect analysis.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proficiency in manual testing and familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
• Experience in UI testing & API testing.
• Understanding of databases and basic SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
