Key Responsibilities:
1. SA 8000 Implementation and Compliance:
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SA 8000 standards.
Conduct periodic internal audits to assess compliance with social accountability principles, including labor rights, workplace safety, and fair wages.
Manage external audits for SA 8000 certification and liaise with auditors to address any gaps.
Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to child labor, forced labor, working hours, and discrimination.
2. HR Policy Development and Execution:
Align HR policies with SA 8000 requirements and organizational goals.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations to reflect ethical labor practices.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of employee records to support compliance efforts.
Monitor workplace conditions to uphold safety, hygiene, and overall well-being.
3. Training and Development:
Organize training sessions for employees and management on SA 8000 standards, labor laws, and ethical practices.
Develop awareness programs to promote a culture of accountability and respect in the workplace.
4. Grievance Management and Employee Engagement:
Establish and maintain grievance mechanisms in line with SA 8000 requirements.
Resolve employee complaints and ensure fair treatment across all levels.
Foster employee engagement initiatives that align with social accountability goals.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain thorough documentation for audits and certification processes.
Track and address non-conformities with corrective and preventive measures.
