Qualification:

B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College, Nagpur ii) B.E (Fire & Safety) from Cochin University iii) Graduate with any Govt. recognized diploma in Fire Safety with 5 years of experience

Key Responsibilities

Fire Safety Planning and Compliance:

• Develop and implement fire safety plans tailored to elevated metro systems.
• Ensure compliance with national and local fire safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, BIS, IS).
• Conduct regular reviews of fire safety measures to align with project specifications and operational needs.
• Risk Assessments and Audits:
  
• Perform comprehensive fire risk assessments for stations, viaducts, depots, and operational areas.
• Conduct fire safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure proper documentation of fire risk assessments and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Coordination and Integration:
  
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to integrate fire safety measures into project layouts and materials.
• Work with authorities, contractors, and consultants to ensure fire safety systems (e.g., alarms, sprinklers, fire doors) are effectively designed and installed.
• Coordinate with emergency services and metro operations to ensure preparedness for fire-related incidents.
• Training and Awareness:
  
• Develop and conduct fire safety training sessions for project staff and stakeholders.
• Organize emergency drills and simulations to ensure readiness among employees and contractors.
• Incident Response Management:
  
• Develop emergency response procedures specific to elevated metro environments.
• Act as the primary point of contact during fire-related incidents and emergencies.
• Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• System Maintenance and Monitoring:
  
• Oversee the maintenance and functionality of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and smoke detectors.
• Monitor compliance with fire safety measures during construction, testing, and operations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  
• Maintain comprehensive records of fire safety activities, inspections, and training programs.
• Prepare detailed reports on fire safety performance and share findings with management and regulatory bodies.
