Sr. Manager - MEP | Real Estate

Role Overview

The Sr. Manager - MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is a critical position within the real estate development team, responsible for managing and overseeing MEP systems across multiple real estate projects. The role includes strategic planning, design review, execution, quality assurance, and coordination of MEP installations to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop MEP strategies and action plans for large-scale residential and commercial projects.
• Plan and manage MEP installations from concept to handover, ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards.
• Prepare project-specific budgets, cost estimates, and resource plans.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project teams during project design phases to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

Coordination and Supervision:

• Lead a team of engineers, contractors, and consultants to execute MEP works efficiently.
• Review and approve MEP designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and timeline standards.
• Facilitate coordination between MEP services to avoid design and execution conflicts.

Technical and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of on-site installations to ensure quality control.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Ensure all MEP systems are energy-efficient and environmentally compliant.
• Implement best practices for sustainable building systems.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and presentations for management.
• Maintain proper documentation of contracts, invoices, certifications, and as-built drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background:
  Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering fields. Post-graduate qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience:
  Minimum 10+ years in MEP design, execution, and management, preferably within the real estate development sector.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design software, and energy management solutions.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical distribution, fire-fighting systems, and plumbing services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools like Primavera or MS Project.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
