Mainframe Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with 4+ years of experience to join our Banking and Financial services team.

Requirements:

• Experience in Mainframe development with knowledge in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM
• Extensive experience in COBOL programming including creating, maintaining batch and online applications.
• Proficient in using DB2 for database management and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with TSO/ISPF, JCL, and debugging tools such as Abend-AID or other error diagnostics tools.
• Expertise in version control systems to manage code changes.
• Experience in modernizing Mainframe applications, transitioning to cloud environments or integrating with newer technologies.
• Competent in an Agile development environment.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe systems.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and continuous integration processes in the Mainframe environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Mainframe security practices and implementing secure coding principles.
