As a Tier 2 Engineer within the MS Nutanix support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to global HPE customers utilizing Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure. You will leverage your strong administrative, operational, and management skills to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Support : Resolve customer issues through telephone, email, or remote sessions.
- Issue Escalation : Identify and escalate critical issues to vendors in a timely manner.
- Knowledge Sharing : Contribute to internal knowledge base and community forums.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other technology teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for Nutanix infrastructure.
- Performance Monitoring : Monitor Nutanix infrastructure performance and optimize as needed.
- Problem Management : Conduct post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service environments.
- Strong administrative, operational, and management skills in Nutanix.
- Certification in Nutanix (NCP-MCI) or VMware (VCP) is a plus.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work with diverse cultures.
Technical Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure.
- Experience configuring Nutanix hardware, software, and networking components.
- Proficiency in Nutanix command line interface.
- Experience integrating Nutanix with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with Nutanix performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
- Experience with VMware vSphere products.
- Understanding of DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and physical network/storage technologies.
Non-Technical Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer support.
