Assistant Manager - Cost Control

Role Brief

Monitor all the projects on Budget vs actual on real time basis. Ensuring we are within the budget. Identifying areas for cost savings. Handling budget increase request by going into the request in detail. Sharing the learnings with Proposals and other concern departments

Role & responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the company and government agencies at various levels (central, state, and local authorities) for obtaining necessary approvals, licenses, and permits required for solar EPC projects.
• Ensure compliance with national and regional renewable energy policies, environmental regulations, and energy laws.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement Monitor regulatory changes and provide timely updates to senior management about their potential impact on projects.
• Prepare and submit required documentation for project approvals, environmental clearances, and other legal requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory bodies, local authorities, landowners, and community leaders.
• Liaise with local zoning and municipal authorities to ensure compliance with land acquisition and use policies.
• Ensure the company adheres to all local, regional, and national regulations throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Stay updated with changes in renewable energy policies, subsidies, incentives & ensure that the company is leveraging all available government incentives and subsidies for renewable energy projects.

• Prepare regular reports for senior management on the status of permit approvals, regulatory compliance, and liaison activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all project-related permits, approvals, and clearances. Advise the management team on potential political, regulatory, or legal challenges affecting the execution of projects & develop strategies to handle any emerging risks

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in liaisoning, government relations, or regulatory affairs, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of solar energy regulations, national and regional renewable energy policies, and environmental laws.
• Should have experience working on SAP/ERP modules

Education Qualification / Additional Certifications

• Diploma (Electrical/Mechanical), BE / B Tech preferred
• Should have an experience working in EPC/Infra/Solar Sector
