Cost Engineer

Division: Industrial Valves/Water Valves
Reporting to: Dept. Head.
Position Summary:
Responsible for handling End to End costing activities in the plant.
Principal Activities &
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Analysis and Estimation:
o Analyze and estimate the costs of manufacturing valves, including materials,
labor, overhead, and other related expenses.
o Develop and maintain cost models for various valve products.
o Conduct cost comparisons and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Process Optimization:
o Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand
manufacturing processes and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency
improvements.
o Recommend process changes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Budgeting and Financial Reporting:
o Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to product
costing.
o Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management.
o Monitor actual costs versus budgeted costs and analyze variances.
• Product Development Support:
o Provide cost estimates for new product development.
to Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure cost considerations
are integrated into the design phase.
• Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in cost estimation
and reporting.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cost analysis and estimation
processes.
Candidate
Requirements:
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Business, or a
related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost engineering, preferably in the Valve / Pump
manufacturing industry
