About the role :

The magic at magicpin is powered using cutting edge technology built by some of the smartest minds in the industry. We are solving some of the most complex and challenging engineering problems in search & discovery, data science & analytics at a significant scale and we are growing fast. Our tech stack includes microservices in Go, Java, Python built on K8s using multiple relational/no-sql and asynchronous communication and public cloud technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer or Tech Lead, you would be joining our rockstar engineers in one of our application teams.

Responsibilities :

- Craft durable, well-tested code with an unwavering focus on quality

- Guide projects from conception to delivery

- Build products, systems and services with a customer-first and an automation mindset

- Balance product features and technical debt

- Lead and participate in technical, product and design discussions

- Partner closely with PMs, Analysts and fellow engineers in driving and executing projects using the agile process.

Qualifications & Skills :

- 5-9 years of industry experience in software engineering

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field involving coding

- Proficient in at least one or more programming languages like Java, Go, Python, C++ etc.

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

- Strong engineering principles and experience in building scalable distributed systems

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular emphasis on technical (documentation (including diagramming)

- Have experience in Search tool, Solr, Elastic Search, etc
