Power BI Developer - ETL/SQL (4-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Power BI development, SQL development, data modeling, and Azure SQL Database.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Develop, design, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Design and implement data models and work closely with the data team to ensure the integrity of the data.

- Optimize SQL queries for performance improvement and best practices.

- Develop ETL processes to load data from various sources into Azure SQL Database.

- Assist in the management and optimization of Azure SQL Databases for performance and scalability.

- Design and implement data visualization solutions to support business requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.

- Ensure security and governance around Power BI reports and datasets.

- Perform troubleshooting, query tuning, and database optimization in a cloud-based environment.

- Participate in data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting.

- Create and maintain documentation on Power BI reports, dashboards, and SQL queries.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer with a proven track record of designing and deploying Power BI solutions.

- Strong experience in SQL development including query writing, optimization, and performance tuning.

- Proficient in data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema) and data transformation techniques.

- Solid experience in working with Azure SQL Database and cloud-based data storage.

- Expertise in Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Embedded.

- Familiarity with Azure Data Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake is a plus.

- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and building reports on large datasets.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize and troubleshoot database and Power BI performance.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
