We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Security and Compliance Specialist to join our IT Operations team. Based in Chennai, this role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies while addressing security and compliance challenges.
You will report directly to the Head of IT Operations (Denmark based) and collaborate across internal and external teams to implement security controls, enhance system stability, and ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection standards.

Key Responsibilities
As a Security and Compliance Specialist at Maersk Training, you will:
Develop, implement, and document security and compliance initiatives across systems and processes.
Monitor and identify threats and vulnerabilities, providing mitigation strategies to enhance system resilience.
Manage security upgrades for apps, networks, and infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
Oversee security logging, authentication mechanisms, and 3rd-party code scanning.
Ensure GDPR compliance by evaluating data processing activities and liaising with third parties.
Build and maintain a strong risk culture, promoting security best practices and compliance awareness.
Drive the maturation of DevSecOps practices within the organization.

Required qualifications:
Proven experience in security and compliance roles, with a focus on IT infrastructure and applications.
Strong understanding of Windows, Azure, and O365 platforms.
Expertise in GDPR and data protection standards.
Familiarity with security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and authentication mechanisms.
Ability to manage risk, provide mitigation strategies, and document technical processes effectively.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, including implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
