DevOps Engineer - Linux (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and security harden Linux systems (preferably Ubuntu) and Docker images.

- Migrate virtual machines to Docker containers for improved efficiency and scalability.

- Leverage infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration in Azure environments.

- Utilize scripting languages like Ansible or Puppet for automating configuration management tasks across infrastructure and applications.

- Deploy and configure web servers like Apache or Nginx, including virtual hosts, SSL certificates, and modules.

- Install and configure PHP, manage PECL/PEAR libraries, and optimize PHP ini for performance.

- Set up database connectivity for applications using Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.

- Install and configure Elasticsearch for log aggregation and analysis.

- Install and configure Redis clusters for caching and data persistence.

- Manage system processes using SystemD services and cron jobs.

- Parse and analyze log files for troubleshooting and performance optimization.

- Configure logical and physical partitions to optimize storage utilization.

- Implement load balancing and proxy servers for high availability and traffic management.

- Utilize regular expressions for data manipulation and automation tasks.

- Modify HTTP headers and implement LUA scripting for web application customization.

- Deploy and configure software packages on application servers.

- Possess a working knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) for container orchestration.

- Utilize Git or Bitbucket for version control and code collaboration.

- Work effectively with project management tools like Jira.

Good to Have Skills :

- Configure IaC for Azure cloud infrastructure using Ansible for enhanced automation.

- Install and manage SupervisorD for process monitoring and control.

- Implement RabbitMQ in high availability cluster mode for reliable messaging.

- Install and configure NodeJS, Socket.io, and Solr for web application development needs.

- Install and configure Datadog for application performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience working as a Linux/DevOps Engineer.

- 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible/Terraform).

- 1+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines
