Job Description

Associate Business Development Manager is responsible for developing a long-term engagement and partnerships with key stakeholders for Springer Nature’s Cureus journal series and other platform and product focusing on Open Access workloads.

Responsibilities
•    Co-ordinate with leading research institutions and universities in building relationships and strengthening the Springer Nature’s research publishing offerings, primarily for Cureus journals.
•    Build, connect, and engage with research communities in leading engineering (and allied disciplines) institutions in India.
•    Closely work with various relevant ministries in state, central government to build strategic partnerships in growing Cureus journal series by improved research output from India.
•    Work closely with key opinion leaders in the research institutions and universities in improving research output for Cureus journals. 
•    Actively participate in industry led forums/conferences to drive messaging of Springer Nature’s Cureus and other open access offerings.
•    Map and study competitive analysis of Open Access Journal landscape in India.
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders from local and global teams in creating outreach strategy for Cureus Journals. 
•    Conduct and organize external large events, bootcamps and workshops to drive positioning Springer Nature’s platform and products. 
•    Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand awareness, and positive outlook of Springer Nature India. 
•    Lead the Internal communications of Managing Director Office, managing performance dashboards and metrics relevant across business functions and overall coordinate with leaderships teams across Springer Nature India and worldwide Springer Nature Offices.

Experience, Skills, And Qualifications
•    Excellent understanding of research and publishing domain 
•    Experience in publishing industry with knowledge on journals.
•    Ability to communicate and manage with external research community.
•    Ability to handle outreach engagements and forums around Science and Research.
•    Effective internal communications skills
•    Experience of handling academicians, researchers, authors in the publishing domain 
•    Exposure in handling workloads centric around community network in the research communities 
•    Experience in driving events, workshops in the academic publishing space.
•    Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills with exposure in Publishing Industry
Desirable
•    Post-Graduate degree in STEM background.
•    Excellent Presentation and Communication Skills 
•    Prior experience in publishing papers in journals.
•    Strong Networking Skills and team player
•    Stakeholder Management Experience
