Key skills for the job
Role & responsibilities
- Estimating costing of paper packaging products manufactured by the company.
- Calculate all key cost components for product pricing including Direct Material Costs, Direct Labor Costs and Factory & Corporate Overheads.
- Identifying deviations between estimated and actual costs (including yield loss)
- Activity Based Costing (ABC) - Allocating overhead costs accurately to different products based on processes.
- Assisting management in setting competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Conducting break-even analysis to determine the minimum price for profitability.
- Preparing strategies to win client RFPs & auctions.
- Collaborating with design and R&D teams to estimate costs of new products.
- Performing cost feasibility studies to assess whether a new product can be produced profitably.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities during the product development phase.
- Forecasting future costs based on trends, market conditions, and inflation.
- Comparing the companys cost structure with industry standards to identify inefficiencies.
- Implementing cost control measures to prevent budget overruns.
- Ensuring compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) while preparing product cost estimates.
- Understanding of Standard Costing and Marginal Costing
- Working closely with procurement team to understand prevailing paper / consumable prices.
- Calculating Machine Hour Rate for each machine in the company
- Strong judgement to adjust margin / standard costing parameters based on volume / workload factor.
- Understanding of Fixed Vs Variable Costs
- Managing a team of 2-3 members
- Ensuring costings are submitted to clients within 48 to 72 hours of requirement shared by sales team.
- Ability to re-engineer specifications / adjust KLDs etc. to help optimize costs.
- Calculating BOM based costing based on client specifications / samples.
- Analyse production costs / processes for cost savings.
- Strengthen and create Costing & MIS systems including tracking movement in RM / Consumable prices.
- Regular verification / updating of client costings based on movement in paper prices.
- Conducting Cost Audits as per the Companies Act and preparing Cost Audit Reports
- Analyzing profitability by different products, plants etc.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualification:
- CMA degree holder from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
- Intermediate cleared from Chartered Accountant institute
- A candidate who has cleared CMA Intermediate can also be considered.
- Extremely strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Past experience in paper packaging industry would be an advantage but candidates with experience in any manufacturing industry will be considered.

- Reporting Structure: Reporting to Executive Director (Promoter)
- Office hours 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM
- Workdays Monday to Saturday
- Working model Work from office
- Job Location Sector 59, Noida
- Personal Conveyance is a must.
- Candidate must be living in Noida / Greater Noida / Ghaziabad / East or South Delhi or must be willing to relocate to Noida before starting the job.
