Role & responsibilities

A "Warehouse Keeper for a Private Custom Bonded Warehouse" is responsible for overseeing the storage and management of imported goods within a private customs bonded warehouse, ensuring compliance with customs regulations by accurately recording inventory, facilitating customs inspections, and managing the movement of goods while adhering to strict security protocols, all while maintaining detailed documentation and reporting to ensure duty deferment benefits are maximized.

Key Responsibilities:

Customs Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records of all imported goods stored in the warehouse, including details

like quantity, description, and customs declaration information.

• Coordinate with customs authorities for inspections and clearance procedures, ensuring

proper documentation is submitted.

• Monitor and enforce customs regulations regarding storage, handling, and movement of

bonded goods.

Inventory Management:

• Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy of goods against documentation.
• Assign appropriate storage locations within the warehouse for efficient access and inventory

control.

• Conduct regular physical inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.

Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise warehouse staff responsible for handling, loading, and unloading of goods.
• Manage warehouse layout and optimize storage space to maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with logistics providers for timely delivery and pick-up of goods.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on warehouse activity, including inventory

movements, customs declarations, and any discrepancies.

• Generate necessary paperwork for customs clearance and goods release.
• Ensure proper documentation is readily available for customs audits.

Security:

• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect stored goods from theft or damage.
• Monitor access to the warehouse and maintain a secure perimeter.
• Report any security breaches to relevant authorities.

warehousing.
