Senior Android Audio/Video/Graphics Developer

• Project Description:Luxoft is collaborating with a prominent HW SoC Vendor in creation of an Android Automotive BSP targeted for Automotive Industry. The customer wants Luxoft to do the board bring-up of Android Automotive on target SoC platform. The Porting activity is scheduled to start ASAP and targeted to first have a showcase demo ready for Embedded World to be held up from 15-17th March 2022. Later the platform would be further included with more modules and features for Automotive market. During this duration, Luxoft would do the base bring-up of foundational components of Android Automotive (Audio, GFX, Media & Connectivity) that can be showcased to the customer during Embedded World.
  
  Luxoft is looking for experience Android Framework and BSP developers for enablement of this platform for the customer. This brings immense scope of development for Android developers and enthusiasts.
• Responsibilities:As a Senior Android Developer, you would be responsible for below components of Android Automotive: Linux, Embedded, device driver, Audio subsystem, RTOS, Audio HAL, Audio Framework, OpenMax, ALSA, I2S
• Mandatory Skills:
• Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA)
• Device Drivers
• Embedded Linux
• HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
• OpenMAX (Open Media Acceleration)
• Mandatory Skills Description:- Engineer with 8+ years of experience in embedded Linux/Linux application/driver/kernel development
  - Strong C/C++ development skills with a good understanding of object-oriented design
  - Good understanding of Android framework, overall Android Architecture.
  - Proficient in any one of Android HAL amongst Audio, Graphics, Camera, Power etc.
  - Experience with Multimedia frameworks such as Stagefright, Gstreamer, OpenMAX, Codec2.
  - Compliance with CTS/VTS and support in resolving defects
  - Strong background in embedded systems development
  - System knowledge, System Debugging

For Video:
- Experience with Multimedia frameworks such as Stagefright, Gstreamer, OpenMAX, Codec2
- Hands-on experience with video codecs such as H264, HEVC, MPEG2 etc. is a must
- Strong background in embedded systems development
- System knowledge, System Debugging

For Audio:
- Good understanding of Linux fundamentals, Audio fundamentals
- Experience in customizing Android Audio HAL, AudioPolicyManager and Audioflinger components
- Experience with Audio sub-systems, Audio drivers, frameworks and ALSA SOC(ASOC), Audio protocols like I2S
- Strong background in embedded systems development
- System knowledge, System Debugging
- Experience with kernel mode driver programming in Linux

For Graphics:
- Solid expertise in Android HAL, Android graphics pipeline, DRM
- Very Good knowledge of Surface Flinger, HWUI, SKIA, OpenGL/Vulkan, HWC, Display Panel
- Strong background in embedded systems development
- System knowledge, System Debugging
