Game Developer (Designer/Programmer/Animator/Tester)

As a Game Developer, you will be involved in multiple facets of the game development process:

1. Game Design & Development:

• Collaborate with designers and other developers to create and implement engaging game mechanics, systems, and interactive features.
• Design and structure gameplay, balancing mechanics to provide players with a compelling experience.
• Integrate art, animation, sound, and other content into the game while ensuring smooth gameplay functionality across platforms.

2. Game Programming & Coding:

• Write and optimize clean, maintainable code for gameplay features, UI elements, and game systems using languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
• Work with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine to develop features that will run seamlessly across various platforms (PC, mobile, console).
• Handle the technical aspects of the game, such as game physics, AI, multiplayer functionality, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and ensure smooth cross-platform compatibility.

3. Animation & Visual Integration:

• Create and implement 2D/3D animations to support gameplay and ensure the games visual appeal.
• Collaborate with the art team to integrate models, animations, and textures, ensuring they work seamlessly within the game engine.
• Ensure proper integration of character animations, environmental animations, and in-game cutscenes to enhance the user experience.

4. Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Perform detailed testing to ensure game functionality, gameplay balance, and visual effects are free of bugs and meet performance requirements.
• Identify, debug, and fix issues related to gameplay, AI, graphics, and performance across different platforms and devices.
• Document, track, and report defects in bug tracking systems, following through to resolution.

5. Collaboration & Iteration:

• Participate in agile development cycles, providing regular feedback and contributing to iterations based on user feedback and playtesting.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and other developers, to ensure game design and technical requirements are met.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation of development progress, code, and design specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 to 9 years of professional experience in game development, with expertise in at least one of the following: Game Design, Programming, Animation, or Testing.
• Skills:
  
• Game Programming: Proficiency in C++, C#, or Python. Strong experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Game Design: Understanding of gameplay mechanics, user experience (UX), and how to structure interactive systems that are fun and engaging.
• Animation: Experience in 2D/3D animation pipelines using tools like Blender, Maya, or 3D Studio Max, and implementing animations within game engines.
• Testing: Strong debugging skills and experience in manual testing, regression testing, and ensuring the game works smoothly across platforms (PC, mobile, console).
• Technical Proficiency:
  
• Experience in developing games for PC, mobile, or console platforms.
• Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Knowledge of game optimization, including performance tuning and memory management.
• Ability to work with multiplayer game development and network synchronization.
• Soft Skills:
  
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a distributed, multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
