Book Editor and Content Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Editor and Content Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editing, grammar, punctuation, and stylistic abilities while also excelling in content accuracy and creative writing. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring our content is polished, accurate, and impactful.

Role & responsibilities

• Review, edit, and refine written content for grammar, punctuation, style, and accuracy.
• Create compelling and high-quality written content for various mediums, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Conduct in-depth content analysis to ensure factual accuracy and relevance.
• Utilize AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and others to enhance content quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute content strategies.
• Adapt tone and style to fit various target audiences while maintaining consistency and professionalism.
• Stay informed on trends in editing, writing, and AI tools to continuously improve workflows.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, working independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (required).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven editing and writing experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in using AI software/tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and others (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies or errors.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Biblical and Christian concepts.
• Journalistic and/or technical writing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
