Oracle Apex Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and services, focusing on API development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle APEX and PL/SQL development, and be able to integrate web APIs to enable seamless data exchange between systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design and develop scalable Oracle APEX applications based on business requirements.
• API Development: Develop RESTful web services and APIs within Oracle APEX to support integration with other applications and platforms.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize Oracle database schemas, including   g tables, views, and PL/SQL packages.
• Security: Ensure all applications and APIs are secure and comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize application and API performance through best coding practices and database optimization techniques.
• Testing & Debugging: Write and execute unit tests, and troubleshoot and debug issues in both the application and API layers.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for all development work, including API specifications and database designs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Oracle APEX features and industry trends, and implement best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Oracle APEX development.
• Database Knowledge: Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• API Development: Experience in developing RESTful web services/APIs within Oracle APEX.
• Security Practices: Understanding of application and API security best practices.
• Tools: Familiarity with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), and Oracle APEX development tools.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud services, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
