Job Description

Job Title: Loan Processor - Full time - Monday to Friday.


WORK HOURS: 5am INDIAN STANDARD TIME to 1:30PM INDIAN STANDARD TIME

(9:30am Australian EST to 6:30pm Australian EST)


A Loan Processor is responsible for the management and writing of loan applications. Loan
processors play a critical role in ensuring that the loans and a clients borrowing power has been
calculated accurate, processed efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Responsibilities


  • The collection and verification of documentation:
    - It is vital to ensure you gather the required compliance and income
    documentation to calculate the clients borrowing power and meet regulatory
    requirements.
    - Ensure the accuracy of the information provided, that the documents have been
    completed and are up to date prior to submission.

  • Review loan application, financial position and borrowing calculations:
    - Evaluate the loan application to ensure that all the information provided is
    accurate, in line with the lenders policies and regulations, as well as government
    requirements.
    - Conduct thorough reviews of the clients financial background, employment,
    credit history and misconduct, loan history, income calculations and their
    liabilities.
    - Calculate Income, loan amounts and funding contributions as for this role.

  • Accurate data entry and updating client information/statement of position
    - Ensure that an applicants information has been accurately input into the loan
    processing CRMs, and within the application submission.
    - Ensure to regularly update the CRM to reflect and changes in circumstances/
    new information that may arise during the clients application process.
    - Accurate data entry is an important requirement that will ensure a clients
    circumstances have been reflected properly and ensure minimum
    delays/mistakes within the loan approval process.
    - Take detailed file notes for each client meeting and discussion, service
    calculator results and client scenarios.

  • Maintain communication and co-ordinate with lenders, brokers and clients
    - Work with the client in gathering their information, providing application
    updates, relaying bank missing information requests and writing accurate and
    succinct responses to address bank queries.
    - Communicate well both orally and in writing with lenders, when providing client
    scenarios, requesting escalations, and responding to missing information
    requests.
    - Work within a team environment, alongside management, fellow loan
    processors and brokers to ensure a smooth application process for the clients.
    - Keep clients informed on a daily basis as to the progress of their loans.
    - Participate within team meetings

  • Adhere to compliance requirements
    - Must ensure to comply with all lender, aggregator, government, legislative and
    company policies and regulations, when preparing a loan application for a
    client.
    - Ensure all compliance requirements have been met prior to the submission of
    the file to the lender.
    - Operate professionally and within all regulatory requirements.


• Loan writing
- Gather and prepare the required documents for lender submission. Prepare the
client files for review and ensure all documents have been saved within the
correct folders.
- Write a succinct and detailed loan plan for the clients, outlining the structure of
their loan and their financial requirements.
- Lodge complete, accurate and quality loans through the most suitable platform.


Skills and Qualifications


  • • An Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree in finance/accounting (or a similar field) is
    desirable.
    • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience within the Loan Processing/Mortgage
    Broking industry is required.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service/customer facing role is
    required.
    • Highly skilled and proficient with Microsoft Excel, CRM’s and data entry software’s.
    • Strong attention to detail when reviewing documentation to identify inconsistencies and
    inaccurate information.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Strong organisational abilities and abilities to prioritise tasks and workload.
    • Ability to problem solve and complete mathematical computations.
