Quality Engineer

• Drives quality throughout the change lifecycle working in a cross-disciplinary team.
• Undertakes & manages testing of more complex code changes across multiple types of testing to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise.
• Understands the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and educates other change disciplines.
• Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team. Participates in & establishes Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team.
• Undertakes mentoring and coaching as well as additional leadership activities. Keen to deepen their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role.

Job Description

• Takes responsibility for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organisation and/or conducts complex analyses on budget progress in other areas while working within established systems.
• Personally meets customer needs related to standard products and services and/or supervises a team of customer advisors.
• Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management programme with guidance from a project/programme manager.
• Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current IT Security processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.

Skillset

• QE background, automated testing, agile experience, Java, Python or similar
