Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian preferred).
- Manage system resources, including CPU, memory, and storage.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
- Implement and maintain high-availability configurations (clustering, failover).
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot complex system problems and provide timely resolutions.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) for system automation and administration tasks.
- Automate routine tasks using configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
- Respond to security incidents and perform necessary remediation actions.
- Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox).
- Work with networking teams to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth system operations.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, including cloud-based Linux deployments and management.
Qualifications :
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in Linux System Administration.
- Proficiency in Operating Systems and Unix.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- (Preferred) Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar.
- (Preferred)Experience in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
