Software Architect

Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of our AI-enabled SaaS ERP product. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone ready to step up and take ownership of the architecture and technical direction of our flagship product while playing a key role in establishing the foundation for a scalable, secure, and innovative platform.

Initially, you will work closely with development teams, product stakeholders, and leadership to define and implement the technical vision, working directly on code, processes, and architecture. Over time, you will have the opportunity to innovate and build a high-performing development team, shaping the technical strategy and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Development and Architecture:

• Take ownership of designing and implementing the architecture for the AI-enabled SaaS ERP platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to establish best practices and technical standards for the team.
• Implement AI and machine learning integrations to optimize workflows, enhance user experiences, and enable predictive capabilities.
• Build and maintain microservices architectures, including APIs, event-driven systems, and serverless components.

Strategic Leadership and Innovation:

• Define the technical vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future scalability.
• Drive innovation by researching and adopting emerging technologies in AI, cloud computing, and SaaS architectures.
• Collaborate with leadership and product teams to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.

Process Setup and Optimization:

• Establish and implement DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Set up development workflows and coding standards, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
• Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement solutions to improve software development efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Act as a technical liaison between leadership, product teams, and developers to align technical goals with business objectives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations and updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on technical progress, challenges, and risks.

Team Building and Mentorship (Future Focus):

• Contribute to the hiring and development of a high-performing engineering team, identifying gaps and planning for team growth.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Establish a culture of continuous learning and improvement as the team expands.

Implementation and Maintenance:

• Oversee the deployment of software solutions, ensuring smooth handoffs to support teams and post-launch optimization.
• Monitor and improve software performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices (e.g., OWASP, OAuth2, JWT) and industry standards throughout the software lifecycle.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience in hands-on software architecture and development, ideally within SaaS or enterprise-grade platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Node.js, Angular/React, and Python, with experience in MongoDB or other database systems.
• Expertise in scalable architectures, including microservices, serverless designs, and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and experience with tools like Azure App Services, Functions, and Cosmos DB.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and how they can be applied to SaaS products for automation and predictive analytics.

• Analytical mindset with a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges.
• Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.
• Experience identifying and mitigating technical risks and bottlenecks in software lifecycles.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect) or Agile methodologies are a plus.
