Manager - Finance

Strategic Finance Management:

• Works with Business Head/Group Finance Head on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationship on all levels.
• Assists in identifying new funding opportunities, preparing prospective budgets and determining cost effectiveness of prospective new outlets.
• Provides advice on commercial transactions in terms of a balanced view, focusing on profitability which covers appropriate competitive pricing, compliance and effective utilization of working capital.
• Responsible for analyzing the financial and management information, preparing business plan and support the strategic decision making.
• Build internal capabilities of finance and accounts team to support the group finance shared service function with growing business volumes and undertake larger role as the company grows.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Prepares and maintains an analysis of the costs and revenues of a business to assist management in making decisions such as pricing budgeting, profit margin and investment.
• Responsible for evaluating data from suppliers, distributors and other disciplines to identify trends or opportunities that may affect future performance of the company.
• Identify potential areas of risk for the company through various financial modelling.
• Performs multiple regression analysis on historical data to predict future revenues or costs of a company.
• Controls the process of long-term planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Provides fast, accurate and insightful information about divisions performance that will aid in decision making.
• Looks for opportunities for technology upgradation and optimizing processes leading and executing the transition of digital financial management.
• Analyses data and create reports on market conditions for both internal and external use, including presentations to potential investors or bankers.

Compliances:

• Reviewing and filling tax returns and computations and ensuring the efficient and risk managed delivery of corporate tax compliances.
• Responsible for tax disclosers/tax audit and liaising with the audit team.
• Proactively develops solutions for potential tax issues, keeping abreast of new development in tax legislation.
• Reviews tax computations, supporting documents, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Ensures that financial statements are prepared in stipulated time frame, audited and tax returns filled before due date.
• Review and monitor changes in domestic and foreign tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation.
• Responsible for tax research, planning and compliance with all applicable domestic state, local and foreign tax laws and regulations.
• Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Provides inputs in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

Operational Finance and Accounts:

• Ensures timely and accurate accounting of all transactions, timely books closing and publishing of financial results.
• Assures adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available so that all transactions may pass independent and statutory audits.
• Monitors banking activities of the company.
• Ensures adequate cash flow availability to meet the company's business needs.
• Assists in the design, implementation and timely calculation of wages and salaries with payroll officer for all staff in the company.
• Oversees the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including asset purchased during current financial year and assures that all are in accordance with financial policies.
• Manages and process financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting of results to the company.
• Oversees Accounts payable and Account receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as necessary to carry out functions of the department.
• Develops and manages annual budgets for the division and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
• Responsible to identify and implement best practices, optimizing the corporation's tax structure by adhering to all Statutory compliances.
• Handles transfer pricing issues on a global level.
• Participates and provides inputs in the monthly Finance Review Meetings to monitor on a timely basis achievement of action plans, identify and highlight deviations, document corrective action and report performance of the same.

People and Team Development:

• Lead and guide subordinates by providing them with technical guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that subordinates are developed for higher-level roles.
• Appraises Accounts Executive, Accountant, Senior Accounts Executive on annual basis and direct activities of staff to improve performance in case of noncompliance with the KRAs.
• Reviews periodically the performance and salaries of subordinates and recommend necessary adjustment in conformance with Company policies and market trends.
• Participates in the selection, evaluation, promotion and dismissal of the executive reporting directly to the incumbent.
• Plans, coordinate and allocate resources to subordinates.
• Meets subordinates and colleagues for daily, weekly and monthly reviews.
• Coordinates and review work to ensure timely achievement of set objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

Minimum Qualification required:

• A bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a similar field.
• Professional certification like Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) will be added advantage.
• Post Graduate in Finance Management desirable.

Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in Finance and Accounts function.
• Experience in Luxury Fashion Retail Industry is must.
• 3-5 years of experience in preferably in retail industry.
• MBA/PGDM degree in Finance or equivalent qualification required.
• Proven expertise in Strategic Financial Management, Operational Finance & Accounts, Financial Planning And Analysis, Compliance Management.
• Should be able to join on immediate basis or maximum 30 days notice.
• Preferred Male candidates.
