IP Specialist

Job Purpose

• We are looking for an experienced IP Expert to join Service Engineering Group team in Mumbai.
• The Specialist -IP Engineering will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IP network infrastructure.
• You will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our network.
• This role will focus on driving the engineering and operational aspects of IP networking, including IP routing, switching, network security, and performance optimization.
• The position requires technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that the network infrastructure supports the organizations business objectives

Duties & Accountability

• Design and implement IP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware and software.
• Configure and maintain network devices and services, such as VLANs, IP Routing, OSPF, BGP, VPN, and QoS.
• Perform network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve network issues. Support NOC if in case of critical issues/outage.
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures, such as access control, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Implement performance tuning measures, including traffic analysis, network capacity planning, and load balancing. Interacting with CDNs, ISPs for routing changes and implementation
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement network policies and procedures.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend changes to improve the network infrastructure.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations and standard operating procedures.
• Testing and qualification of new products, services & software proposed by OEM for new feature support or any operational bug fix.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical & Telecommunications, or a related field
• 8-12 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IP network infrastructure in the telecom/Enterprise domain.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• CCNA or CCNP or CCIE (anyone) or CCNA/CCNP equivalent to Nokia /Juniper Certification.
