LightMetrics is looking for a business development manager (Bangalore based). With LightMetrics having a great product that partners and customers love with great IP we have created over the last decade, we are looking to leverage these assets and create new avenues of growth for ourselves and our partners.

LightMetrics is already well known in the transportation and video telematics space for their products and services, and you get to work on a 0\u21921 initiative in a fast growing and stable company looking to invest on new strategic initiatives.

This is a high-impact role with a wide charter involving the creation of new product lines, defining go-to-market plans, and scaling new business verticals. You will report directly to LightMetricsfounders and interact with our global base of partners and customers.

This role is ideal for product managers who want to explore business development or for business development folks who have a keen product sense.



Requirements
Responsibilities:

- Opportunity identification and validation:
  1. Research and evaluate new product and service opportunities leveraging LightMetrics IP and partnerships.
  2. Conduct market research, analysis, competitor research and customer discovery to assess viability.

    - Business model and Go-to-market
    1. Define value propositions, business models and suggest pricing strategy
    2. Develop and execute pilots to validate

      - Strategic partnerships
      1. Identify and work with partners that can accelerate the new product adoption and market expansion
      2. Collaborate with current partners on upsell and cross sell opportunities

        - Cross functional execution
        1. Work closely with product, engineering and sales for product-market fit
        2. Drive early customer acquisition and feedback loops to iterate quickly.

          - Ownership and 0\u21921 execution
          1. Operate with a startup mindset concept to scale, everything is on you
          2. Build the business case with clear KPIs and success metrics

            Minimum requirements for the role:

            - Bachelordegree Engineering MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
            - 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or product management, preferably in B2B SaaS or AI companies
            - Strong market research and business modeling capabilities
            - Ability to assess market opportunities, size them and test business hypotheses
            - Proven ability to interact and communicate with CxO-level personnel. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels within and outside the organization
            - Proactive, strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
            - Independent, driven, and self-sufficient. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and need little prescribed direction, only coaching and mentorship.
            - Strong storytelling and presentation skills
            - Comfortable working in high ambiguity, fast paced environments
            - Attention to detail, but have a clear big picture thinking also
            - High agency not wait for ideal circumstances to get a job done, instead strive and create the circumstances yourself!
            - There will be 10-20% travel mostly to the US and Canada US B1 visa is good to have


            Nice to have requirements:

            - Previous experience in early-stage startups highly preferred
            - Having started 0\u21921 initiative in companies successful or not is preferred
            - Business development experience in the 0->1 stage of products would be preferred but is not mandatory
            - Prior experience in automotive, mobility or data based products related roles highly desirable
