Electronics Research Assistant

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in the design, testing, and evaluation of electronic circuits, systems, and devices.
• Perform laboratory experiments, data collection, and analysis on electronic hardware and

systems.

• Assemble and troubleshoot prototypes and test setups.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of research methodologies and processes.
• Document experimental results and assist in writing technical reports, research papers, and

documentation.

• Collaborate with team members and researchers to design experiments and improve

existing research approaches.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Science field.

• Masters degree (preferred) or in-progress will be an advantage.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of electronics principles, circuit design, and analog/digital systems.

• Hands-on experience with Soldering, PCB design, microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded

systems.

• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters,

etc.

• Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Altium, Eagle) for PCB design is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative research environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Prior research experience in electronics or related fields.
• Experience with signal processing, power systems, or communication systems, FPGA.
