Contract and Management
The Contract and Management Legal will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts and agreements, including but not limited to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, land sale deeds etc., This role requires in-depth knowledge of legal practices and the ability to handle complex legal issues related to contracts and corporate management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Drafting and Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including EPC contracts, service agreements, procurement contracts, NDAs and employment contracts.
- Ensure contracts are legally sound and adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
- Customize contract templates to fit specific project requirements and ensure all contractual obligations are clear and enforceable.
2. Contract Management:
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive contract management system.
- Track contract deadlines, obligations, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
3. Legal Advisory:
- Provide legal advice on contract matters.
- Advise on potential legal risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
4. Policy Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures.
- Educate and train staff on legal best practices and contract management.
5. Corporate Governance:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing documents for corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. A Masters degree (LLM) or relevant certification in contract management is an added advantage.
Experience:
Around 10 years of experience in contract law, corporate law, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing complex contracts, including EPC contracts and other legal issues.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of contract law, EPC contracts, and corporate governance.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
-Office-based with occasional travel for negotiations or legal proceedings.
