Legal Executive

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Real Estate Legal Executive to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will provide legal support on real estate transactions, compliance, documentation, and dispute resolution. You will work closely with clients, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and legally compliant real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Documentation & Contract Drafting

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, agreements, deeds, sale/purchase agreements, lease agreements, and other related documents.
• Ensure that all documents comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Title Verification & Due Diligence

• Conduct title searches and verify property ownership, ensuring there are no legal issues or encumbrances.
• Perform due diligence on properties for acquisitions, sales, or leases.

Litigation Support & Dispute Resolution

• Assist in resolving legal disputes related to property transactions, ownership, boundary issues, etc.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for handling any litigation matters.

Legal Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local real estate laws, land acquisition, zoning regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Advise clients on property-related legal matters and regulatory changes.

Transaction Management

• Oversee the smooth execution of real estate transactions from start to finish, ensuring all legal aspects are handled efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, notaries, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure proper documentation.

Property Registration & Statutory Filings

• Facilitate property registration with the local sub-registrars office.
• Manage statutory filings, including property taxes, land records, and other required submissions.

Research & Legal Updates

• Stay updated with changes in real estate laws, judicial pronouncements, and local regulations.
• Conduct legal research and provide actionable insights for real estate matters.

Required Qualifications

Education

• LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university. An LLM in real estate law or related fields is an advantage.

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with exposure to property transactions, title verification, and contract drafting.
• Familiarity with Tamil Nadu's real estate regulations and property laws is essential.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of real estate laws, property regulations, and land documentation procedures.
• Excellent drafting and legal research skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in handling land acquisition and leasing projects.
• Ability to coordinate with government authorities and external legal professionals.
• Proficiency in legal software and MS Office Suite
