Lead Process Engineer For Secondment (Tecnicas Reunidas- TRE Oman)

Role & responsibilities

To carry out the front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed engineering process input to engineering projects in support of the development of new and existing oil, gas and water handling facilities and refineries.

• To carryout screening studies and develop process schematics for the Clients Conceptual Engineers in support of potential engineering project.
• To carryout process simulations and optimization studies for selected projects and prepare Process Flow Schemes with mass balances and equipment sizes.
• To provide detailed process engineering input during all design phases including interpretation of standards.
• To review any process design work carried out by third parties (vendors), and to participate in, and in some instances lead, HAZOPs, Safety and Facility Audits.
• To establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities and capabilities of existing field facilities in order to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization.
• For Senior Engineers, to act as lead discipline engineer of project managing discipline design teams of designers and engineers.
• To identify potential applications for new technology.
• To actively train and encourage the development of Omani staff to fulfill process and systems engineering roles.
• To understand the requirements of the office quality system and ensure these requirements are met.

Preferred candidate profile

minimum 12 years upstream Oil & Gas, and downstream Refineries and Petrochemical experience including a minimum 6 years process engineering experience with engineering consultancies is required. Experience in use of process software like HYSYS, PROII, Pipesim, Flarenet etc. Experience in FEED and DD projects.
