Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, track payments, and ensure timely collections
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, file tax returns, and work with external tax advisors when needed
Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage financial audits, including internal and external audits, to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, making recommendations for optimizing working capital
Financial Software: Utilize financial software and tools for accounting and financial management purposes
Financial Policies: Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard financial assets and maintain accuracy
Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to reduce unnecessary expenditures
Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks and exposure, and make recommendations for mitigating risks
Financial Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's financial strategy and financial goals
Team Leadership: If in a managerial role, lead and supervise finance and accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support
