Cad Technician

Job Summary:

The CAD Technician will provide critical support in the creation, modification, and management of architectural, engineering, and construction drawings for real estate development projects. Working remotely as part of the back-office team supporting US-based projects, this role will involve using CAD software to draft and prepare detailed plans for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The CAD Technician will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and quality in design documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Drafting and Design:
• Create and modify detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics for real estate projects using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers in the US to ensure that CAD drawings meet the projects design, structural, and regulatory requirements.
• File Management and Organization:
• Maintain organized records of all CAD drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
• Quality Control and Accuracy:
• Perform quality checks on CAD drawings to ensure that they meet industry standards, project specifications, and local regulations.
• Design and Technical Updates:
• Stay updated on the latest CAD tools, technology, and techniques to continuously improve drafting processes.
• Remote Workflow Management:
• Manage remote work schedules effectively to meet US-based deadlines, ensuring that projects stay on track.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associates degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Certification or formal training in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working as a CAD Technician or in a similar role, with a focus on architectural, engineering, or construction projects.
• Experience in the real estate or construction industry, with a strong understanding of building design and construction principles, is a plus.
• Prior experience working remotely or in a back-office role supporting US-based teams is an advantage.
