Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Act as the custodian of brand equity across all categories.
- Drive the budgeted topline and bottom-line targets for brands and categories.
- Enhance market share for individual brands across categories.
- Develop and lead a high-performance, consumer-focused marketing team.
Operational Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans for categories and brands.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of plans, aligning with the S&OP process.
- Collaborate with external partners such as media, digital, creative, merchandising, and event management agencies for plan execution and developing new partnerships.
- Design and implement market research initiatives and translate consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Monitor and respond to competitive actions, ensuring proactive planning.
- Regularly evaluate manpower needs and strategize for organizational growth.
Financial Responsibilities
- Conduct regular monitoring and review of brand P&L.
- Implement pricing changes and formulation reengineering to safeguard P&L.
- Establish robust processes to maintain ASP as a percentage of net sales.
- Develop a vendor selection process to ensure competitive pricing for marketing activities.
People Management Responsibilities
- Lead a team of brand managers and executives.
- Ensure team motivation, engagement, and a consumer-focused culture.
- Identify and address training needs to facilitate continuous team development.
Education and Experience
- MBA is required (preferably with an engineering or science background, though not mandatory).
- 10-14 years of total experience, preferably with a mix of sales and marketing roles.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience as a Category Head or Group Product Manager.
- Experience in personal care categories is preferred.
- Prior work experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 FMCG companies.
Language Requirement
Fluency in Bengali is mandatory.
