L2 VMware Administrator - IT Infrastructure (5-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in VMware technologies, including vCenter, vSphere, and VMware Infrastructure Support, with a strong focus on virtualization and migration. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our virtualized environment, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities :

- Administer and maintain VMware vCenter and vSphere environments.

- Provide comprehensive VMware Infrastructure Support, including troubleshooting complex issues.

- Manage and optimize Virtual Distributed Switch (VDS) technology.

- Ensure the health and stability of the virtualized environment.

- Perform physical-to-physical (P2P), physical-to-virtual (P2V), and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) migrations.

- Plan and execute virtualization projects.

- Implement and maintain virtualization best practices.

- Diagnose and resolve complex VMware infrastructure issues.

- Provide timely and effective technical support to internal teams.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential problems.

- Create and maintain detailed documentation of VMware infrastructure configurations and procedures.

- Generate regular reports on system performance and availability.

Requirements :

- Technical graduation (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).

- 5-7 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management.

- VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification is mandatory.

- Expertise in VMware vCenter, vSphere, and VMware Infrastructure Support.

- Strong understanding of Virtual Distributed Switch (VDS) technology.

- Proven experience in virtualization and migration (P2P, P2V, V2V).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
