Senior Database Administrator

Krishagni is a Pune based Software Product company in the field of medical research.

We are looking for a skilled MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Manage database security, access controls, and user permissions.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and partitioning to improve efficiency.
• Work with developers to design and optimize database schemas.
• Automate database maintenance tasks and implement best practices.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure database replication and clustering for fault tolerance.
• Keep up with the latest MySQL updates and security patches.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a MySQL DBA or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with replication, clustering, and high availability setups.
• Familiarity with database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring tools like MySQL Enterprise Monitor, Percona Monitoring, or Prometheus.
