Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, processes, and requirements for new or existing systems.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, workflows, and data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to leverage technology.
• Elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for developers and technical teams.
• Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and existing system capabilities, proposing appropriate solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and risk analyses to evaluate the viability and potential outcomes of proposed system changes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to create and maintain system documentation, including system configurations, process flows, and user manuals.
• Identify vendors, create RFPs, gather and analyse proposals in terms of alignment with business objectives and industry standards, negotiate with vendors with respect to their implementation strategy and commercials.
• Provide proposal comparison reports and recommendations to business stakeholders for vendor finalisation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and architects, to ensure the successful design, development, and deployment of technology solutions.
• Facilitate and participate in system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system functionality and ensure it meets business requirements.
• Provide training and support to end users on system features, functionality, and best practices.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business systems analysis, incorporating relevant knowledge into solution designs.
• Participate in project planning and management activities, providing accurate estimations, progress updates, and identifying potential risks and issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate, select, and integrate external systems or applications, as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field. An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus. Additional certifications in business analysis or systems analysis are a plus.
• Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role, preferably in a complex business environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business processes into clear and actionable requirements.
• Proficient in business analysis techniques, such as process mapping, requirements elicitation, and use case development.
• Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes and methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness of requirements documentation.
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modelling, and SQL queries.
• Experience with business process modelling tools, requirements management tools, and project management software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines without direct authority.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to grasp complex business concepts quickly.
• Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, or other enterprise-wide applications is a plus.
